How Do You Tour Washington DC On A Budget?
I don’t know of any other city in the United States that offers more bang for your buck than our Nation’s Capital, Washington DC. The National Mall located between the Capital Building and the Washington Monument houses the Smithsonian Institution’s complex of museums. If you love the arts, the National Gallery of Art is a must see. Aviation buffs, the National Air and Space Museum. History junkies shouldn’t miss the newly refurbished National Museum of American History. Science aficiandos, indulge yourselves at the National Museum of Natural Science. Best of all, admission is free. For cheap eats, any vendor along the mall will do. Find a bench nearby and watch the cornacopia of the world walk by. If you have a little one in tow, a ride on the carousel is a great way to break up the day. For Washingtonians or anyone living within driving distance to DC, the National Mall is a great, inexpensive place to spend a day or two.
