Baylor School opened in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1893 under the name Baylor University School with a tuition rate of $100. In 1915 it moved to a different location in Chattanooga on 670 acres and with a view of the Tennessee River. Baylor was a military academy between 1917 and 1971.
