The following steps will show how to tie in a rock climbing harness with a rewoven figure 8 knot. Tie a figure 8 knot with the standing end of your climbing rope. The standing end normally will be securely tied at the top of the climb. Form a loop A and pass the working end over the standing end. Bring the working end under and around the standing end. Push the working end through the initial loop from the top to form loop B. Push the working end under your climbing harness and bring it back out.
