How Do You Tie An Arbor Knot For Fishing?

0

The arbor knot is one of the easiest to tie and supremely useful when it comes to fishing. If you need to attach your line around the reel spool, then the arbor knot is what you should use. Read on to learn how to tie it next time you’re out fishing. Thread the line around the item you are wishing to tie. In fishing, this will most likely be your reel–or perhaps it will be the base knot for a fly you are tying. Tie an overhand knot around the fishing line. This is simply going over the line, forming a loop and coming back through the loop. It’s the base knot to tying shoes. Create a second knot that is further down the line (toward the object you are securing). This knot is also a plain old overhand knot. You should now have two knots on the line. Grip each end of the line and pull tight. You will now have two tightened knots on your line. Remove any excess line by cutting it away. (If you’re short a knife, biting the fishing line will work, though it will take a little effort). Slide
