How Do You Tie A Tae Kwon Do Belt?
“Hi everybody I am John Graden from the Martial Arts Teachers Association. My first ten years of training were in Tae Kwon Do and of course the belt was a big part of that. Here is what you did not know. My instructor used to take the belt, put it into a quarter like this and then we would have belt fights pretending they were nunchaku, we hit each other and, man that would hurt so bad, but a big part of class of course was learning how to tie it correctly not just beat your partners with it. So fold it in half, fold it into a quarter, take that quarter push it against your hip, reach around the back and bring it. The long end is going to go on top of that part that was on your left hip. Switch hands keep it pinched, bring this around now I want this to lay on top not over or under just lay right on top and if this is underneath nice and snug you can let it go, and reach around and get your buddy over hear, bring him around and the one you bring around is on top it is going to go over
