How Do You Tie A Neck Tie?
Neckties add sophistication and polish to a man’s suit, but many men don’t know the correct way to tie a necktie. You don’t have to use a clip-on. It is easy to properly tie a necktie by following step-by-step instructions. Step 1 Place the tie around your neck with both ends hanging down the front of your chest. The wide side of the tie should be on your left side. Step 2 Cross the wide end over the narrow end to form an “X” near your neck. Step 3 Pinch the “X” with your fingers and thumb pointing up toward your chin. Step 4 Wrap the wide side completely around your fingers. Bring the end up behind your fingers through the “V” formed by the tie. Step 5 Push the end of the tie through the space where your fingers are. Step 6 Tighten the knot until it rests comfortably against your neck. The wide end should be longer than the narrow end.
