How Do You Thread An Electronic Singer Serger?

0

Singer sergers can dramatically reduce your sewing time. Also known as overlock and ultralock machines, their one-step process stitches, trims and finishes the seam in one easy pass. The toughest challenge with any serger is threading the machine. Once threading is mastered, sewing with your Singer serger is a breeze. Order is the most important component to successful threading. While any kind of thread can be used in your serger, it must be threaded in the proper order for the machine to work. Raise the machine’s t-bar to the highest level. Position four thread spools on the spool pins. Open the front door of the machine. The second spool from the right is coded orange. Guide thread through loop in t-bar and hook in thread clip at the back of the machine, second from the right. Lead thread over the top of machine and into upper looper’s tension groove (second from the right). Holding thread in both hands, push the thread into the tension wheel with the same pressure as flossing teeth
