If you are the proud owner of a sewing machine, you may need some tips on how to use it. To start, you will need to know how to thread the needle. While this may seem to be a rather simple task, it can turn into a frustrating one if you’ve never threaded a sewing machine needle before. Even knowing how to prepare the thread before attempting to push it through the tiny needle hole takes special know-how. Put your spool of thread on the spool holder of your sewing machine, and secure in place. (Some machines have a disc that slides onto the spool holder and against the spool of thread to hold it in place.) Position the needle high. Pull thread through grooves, following the instruction manual that came with your machine. Typically, the thread will be pulled down, then up and through a loop, then down again.
