How do you think the recent weather will impact the spring market in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago?
While I do not have any statistical information to back this up aside from working Open Houses and my clients, I have found that the weather does have a negative effect on the market. People are less inclined to pop by Open Houses. I have had several showings canceled because of the extreme weather. The people who are truly motivated are still venturing out, however, those with lukewarm interest seem to remain inside during the extreme weather. I do believe the market will pick up once the extreme weather leaves.
