How do you think Desmond Mason and Eduardo Najera will do in the NBA?

Steve Greenberg: I love the college questions during the NBA playoffs. It’s a nice mental break for me. Mason is such a good shooter, and so athletic, that he ought to fare well in the pros. My one criticism of him is that he wasn’t nearly aggressive enough in the NCAA tournament and times during the regular season. Oklahoma State needed Mason to take the ball to the basket against Florida, and even against Seton Hall and Pepperdine, but Mason stood flat-footed on the perimeter. He’s a terrific perimeter shooter, but he should’ve put the ball on the floor. If he plays passively in the pros, it won’t matter how athletic he is — he’ll be rooted to somebody’s bench. If he utilizes all his skills, he could be a good starter for the right team. As for Najera, I’m a big fan of his toughness. Unfortunately, he’s only 6-8 and pretty gravity-bound, which to me means he’ll have a hard time playing the 4-spot in the pros. How could he score on Dale Davis, for instance? He can shoot pretty well,
