How do you tell the sex of a greek tortoise?

0

The best way to sex a greek tortoise is to look for a longer tail with it’s vent closer to the end and a slightly concave plastron. These should be evident at about the time the plastron of the tortoise is about 4 to 5 inches in length. This is also about the time that they become sexually mature. As far as breeding with a turtle that is 30 yrs it’s senior, I don’t believe that the age taboo is prevalent among reptiles. This doesn’t mean that they’ll breed. Just that if they are going to, age won’t be a huge factor.
