How do you tell the difference between religious faith, religious fantasy, and the reality-tested world around us?
I guess you’d have to qualify what you deem / determine to be each of those things and then caegorize it. I’ve had great conversations about religion here on Askville and I understand better what others believe and why, shich is why I came here initally. I’m still here because I’m a glutton for punishment who would argue with a dead person. But even though some of what has been presented is quite persuasive, and I don;t consider my self to be a Bible leteralist, I have found that more and more often, I have to refer back to something to be the foundation from which I draw my conclusions and convictions. They begin with my personal experiences and are confirmed with the Bible. If I were to merely base everything on my experiences, then I’d be guilty of what I accuse non-believers of and that is being the origin, the beggnning and the end of everything. Which may be okay and good for me but not for others. Otherwise I’d be in that post modern what’s true for you may not be true for me id
