How Do You Tell That Baby Is Teething?
For many first time mom, it is hard to tell if the baby is teething. The following tips are from my reading. Drooling: That is when saliva spilling from the baby’s month. It usually starts from 10 weeks to three or four months of age. This is because teething stimulates drooling. Face rash: you may notice some dry skin rash on the baby’s chin or around the mouth because the baby’s skin is constantly in contact with saliva. Coughing: Baby may cough, just occasionally, because of excess saliva. Biting: Baby wants to bite anything she can grasp and put into her month. If she can’t find anything, she will enjoy her little hands. For breastfed baby, nipples become her favorite gum toys. Pain and Irritability: baby may be in pain because the gum line become inflammatory as the tool about to occur. Baby may also refuse milk for food; some may have low fever or diarrhea.
