How Do You Tell Outlook Express To Download Mail When A Window Is Open?
Outlook Express can be configured to automatically check and download new emails every few minutes when the Outlook Express window is open. Once configured, Outlook Express will automatically connect to your email client’s server, check for new emails, and then download them. You should have an active Internet connection for this to work. Click on the “Tools” menu on the Outlook Express window and then click on “Options.” Click on the “General” tab on the options dialog box. Click to select the “Check for new messages every 30 minute(s)” check box. You can change the number of minutes after which you want Outlook Express to automatically check for new messages by entering a new value in place of the “30” (in text box). Click on the “If my computer is not connected at this time” drop-down box and then select the “Connect only when not working offline” option.
