This is a creative, fun and effective way to teach liquid measurements to children. Label the first piece of paper “Gallon.” Fold and cut second piece of paper in half and label halves “Half Gallon.” Fold and cut 3rd piece of paper into quarters and label each quarter “Quart.” Fold and cut 4th piece of paper into eighths and label each piece “Pint.” Fold and cut 5th piece of paper into sixteenths and label each piece “Cups.” Have children use kit to compare and convert measurements. Let them see how many of each color it takes to make a gallon, or quiz them on how many quarts are in a half gallon.
