How Do You Teach Expository Writing For 2Nd Grade?

Second graders are interesting age because they may be in such a different place depending on their developmental level. They might be just beginning to be able to write without using illustration for the main part of their story or they may be writing long books and paragraphs and rambling on. So try and work towards getting everyone to a place where they’re writing complete sentences and bringing their ideas all together on the page. Start with, if you’ve been using a writing notebook, that’s a great way to pull an expository writing lesson out.
