Memorizing the Girl Scout Promise is a time honored tradition for new scouts. Instead of repetitive and boring, though, it can be a fun activity. The same little girls who memorize every word of a Disney Princess movie will be able to learn the Girl Scout Promise and even the Girl Scout Law a lot faster than their troop leaders! Use these simple ideas for helping Daisy Girl Scouts memorize the Girl Scout Promise. Print off a coloring page with the Promise. Some councils have made printable downloadable coloring books with the words of the promise on each page. Having the girls color each one and discuss how the picture shows the meaning of each line helps kids visualize the promise. Recite the promise at the beginning of each meeting. At the end of the meeting, offer candies, ribbons, treats, a certificate or other prize to the girls who have already memorized it.
