How Do You Teach Children To Respect Elders?
In our every changing world there are a few things that should remain throughout time. One of these is the respect for those who are the elders of our family and community. Teaching children to respect them early will be something they carry their entire life. First, teach your children to respect you. They must have rules set forth so they know their limitations. Speaking or acting in a disrespectful way should not be tolerated. Next, teach children that elders are deserving of respect for many resons. Some of these are that they have managed to work, serve our country, and build the communities that we live in. Taking childrens to Veteran’s Day events will teach them why we honor them. Also, teach them about Grandparent’s Day. Also, show your children respect. When they feel respect, they will imulate it through their actions. Being in church helps children learn respect for themselves and others. Reward your children for holding the door for others, saying please and thank you, and
