How Do You Teach A Fun Science Lesson To Preschoolers?
This is a really easy, fun lesson on using your senses that preschoolers would enjoy. You can use this lesson for a large group if you are a classroom teacher, or try using it for homeschooling children as well. It’s a quiet activity that can be used after play time outside or anytime you need to have a quick activity. The end of the day while waiting for parents to arrive is another good time to try this activity. Have students sit on the floor around the teacher. It’s nice if you have carpet squares or something similar for each child to sit on. Tell students that each child will have a turn to touch something in the “touch bag”. Tell students they have to keep their eyes closed and “not peek”. Everyone must stay quiet and not talk while each student has a turn to touch something in the “touch bag”. As the bag is passed around to each student, the teacher holds the bag and closes it around each child’s arm. The child then has a chance to touch something in the bag. Encourage the chil
