How Do You Teach A Dog To Jump Through A Hoop?
If your dog looks a tad bored these days, enliven both your lives by teaching it some tricks. You can give your pet an excellent workout while showing it how to jump through a hoop. Step 1 Set the hoop against the ground. Firmly wedge it between two chairs, or tape it in the middle of a doorway so that it can’t fall. Step 2 Lead your dog up to the hoop and let her smell it. When she feels comfortable around the hoop tell her “Good Dog” and give her a treat. Step 3 Make your dog sit and stay on one side of the hoop. Step over the hoop yourself, or crawl through it, and pass her leash through the center of the hoop. Step 4 Call your dog through the hoop to you. When she reaches the hoop use the command “Jump” or “Over” to let your dog know that this is the cue that she is supposed to come through the hoop.
