How Do You Tape A Baseball Bat?
The tape that comes already on a bat is usually not enough. My son likes to have tape added so the handle can be a little padded. This way it will conform to his grip over a short period of time. First, make sure the bat handle is clean and dry. If not, you will have problems with the tape adhering. Next, begin at the bottom of the bat grip, and slowly begin to wrap white tape around the grip. Make sure you wrap it tightly as you work your way up, keeping the tape from bunching up. After you reach the top of your bat handle, cut the tape and wrap the last part tightly. Repeat the same process with the black tape, which can be either leather or rubber. After you’ve wrapped it completely around the white tape, carefully cut it off and wrap the end tightly around the handle.
