How Do You Talk Like A Skater?
Talking like a skater is probably one of the easiest things to pick up since so many different types of people skate, and skaters are accepting of anyone who gives the sport a good effort. If you’re already out there skating, start by adding a few words to your vocabulary, knowing terms for the different moves and being aware of the companies that market to skaters. Know what a “poser” is. A poser is someone who pretends to skate but they can’t. If you’re reading this article so you can talk like a skater but have never actually done an “ollie” or “crooked a ledge,” go learn how to use the board first. Skaters pick up fast if you’re a poser by making you prove you can skate. Brush up on the names for the different skating tricks. You’ll naturally pick up the names as you try them.
