How Do You Take The Doors Off A 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door Hardtop?

The 2007 model of the Jeep Wrangler is the first model year of the “JK” series Wrangler (third generation). The four-door hardtop model is known as the Unlimited model. Removing the doors from the JK Series Wrangler is a bit different than in older models, although it’s still a relatively easy process. Jeep only recommends the “doorless” driving mode for off-road circumstances, due to safety concerns. Close the front door. Examine the exterior hinge to find the two Torx screws (one on top; one on bottom). Remove both Torx screws with a T50 driver. Keep the screws in a safe place. Open the door. Trace the wiring harness from the door to the foot well (under the steering column on the driver’s side; under the glove box on the passenger’s side). Unplug this wiring harness. Hold the interior door handle, then lift the door strap from its hook (hold the door firmly; otherwise, it can fly back and hit the fender). Lift the door straight up to disconnect it from the hinge pin. Close the rear
