How Do You Take Off A Space Bar On An HP Keyboard?
Hewlett-Packard (HP) keyboards, like other standard 101-key keyboards, include not only the regular QWERTY keyboard layout, but also a set of function keys programmed specifically for HP computers. When experiencing a problem with a key on your HP keyboard, you can remove the key, clean under the key or replace it to solve the problem. Removing the space bar is a bit of challenge due to a metal retainer holding the key in place. The metal retainer is hooked into the body of the space bar and into the keyboard itself. Place the HP keyboard or HP laptop computer on a flat surface. Place the end of a small flat head screwdriver underneath one side of the space bar. Place your finger on top of the space bar.
