How do you take grease spots off of walls without damaging paint?
It really all comes down to the paint. If it is flat paint then you will have to prime the wall with a primer such as kilz or bulls-eye and then re-paint. If you have satin, semi-gloss or glossy paint then you can spray something such as Castrol Purple Degreaser, Simple green or Krud Kutter (all available in the automotive department) and then wipe away with a damp cloth. You can also use the orange hand cleaner paste that people use to remove grease, tar and other things from their hands and it is very safe and gentle.
