How Do You Take Down Mini Blinds?
Mini blinds are easy to install and even easier to take down. All of the work involved in dealing with mini blinds is over with when the blind is actually mounted inside the window. Mini blinds can be removed from the window for cleaning, adjustments and replacements. If you’re replacing an existing mini blind, cut the new blinds to the same size as the existing blinds. You may even try using the existing hanging hardware if you can find the same type of mini blinds you already own. Pull the blind up so it is fully opened. Remove any curtains, cloth valances, or blind valances so they will not be in the way when you remove the blind. Be careful when removing blind valances; they are mounted with plastic clips that can break very easily. Open the retainer clips on the blind-mounting hardware with the assistance of a flathead screwdriver. Use the screwdriver to help pry open stubborn blind clips.
