How Do You Take Care Of A Sylvie Ficus Plant?
Ficus elastica “Sylvie” is more recognized by its more common name–the rubber plant. This variety of the rubber plant is known for the striking contrast of colors on its leaves, in shades of bright green and white. While caring for some varieties of ficus may be difficult, the Ficus elastica “Sylvie” is relatively easy to care for, and has even been known to thrive with neglect. Determine whether you want to grow your Ficus “Sylvie” in the ground or in a pot. If you prefer growing it in the ground, locate an area of your yard that will provide filtered sunlight for your plant, such as under a tree. Water the plant regularly, but do not over water. The Ficus “Sylvie” prefers to have a moderate amount of water every week or so. Resist the urge to water more frequently or more heavily. If your Ficus “Sylvie” is planted in a pot, repot the plant every year. This should be done by moving up one pot size each year. For instance, move up from a 10 inch pot to a 12 inch when it’s time to repo
