How Do You Take Care Of A Red-Eyed Tree Frog?
Red-eyed tree frogs are amphibians native to parts of Central America, ranging from Mexico to Panama. They range from two to three inches in length. The females are slightly larger than the males. These frogs have green backs, white bellies, yellowish-orange feet and, of course, signature red eyes. The Latin name for them is “Agalychnis callidryas.” Red-eyed tree frogs make good pets and are relatively easy to care for. Prepare a habitat. Glass enclosures that allow at least five gallons of space for each tree frog work well. Ideally the terrarium should be relatively tall so the frog has plenty of room to climb. Temperatures should be kept around 60 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit or 15 to 30 degrees Celsius. Usually these figures correspond well with normal room temperature. Place three to five inches of soil and/or gravel on the floor of terrarium and provide branches and leaves for climbing. Feed your frog a healthy diet. Red-eyed tree frogs eat all sorts of small insects, including flies
