How Do You Take Care Of A Navel Piercing?
This article provides suggestions for proper after care of a navel or belly button piercing. Although following the instructions of your professional body piercer is best that may not always be possible. The following instructions have been compiled from over a decade of experience and consultations with countless piercing professionals. Do not take advice from friends, relatives or neighbors. Wash your hands before and after any contact with your body piercing. Even after it’s healed because it is still an open hole to your body. 1-2 times per day wet a cotton swab (Q-Tip) with “Bactine” and use it to gently clean the piercing site, removing any crusty stuff from on or around the holes and jewelry. Do not use the spray “Bactine” and do not squirt it all over your skin. Any additional cleaning should be done with sterile saline solution.
