How Do You Take Care Of A Cutting Board?
“Hi, I’m Dennis Mondragonna, a chef at Porters Neck Country Club. Today we’re going to care for our cutting boards. We recommend, we recommend that you use two different cutting boards; one for cooked foods, one for raw foods. We use our white for cooked; our yellow for raw. When sanitizing cutting boards, we use bleach; we also use an industrial strength sanitizer. Household bleach works well; one ounce to two gallons of water; but read the directions on, on your product. Alright. We want you to be safe. Bleach is not an easy product to work with. You have to know what you’re doing. Alright. We recommend reading the labels. But what we do is we mix it up and we put it in a spray bottle; spray our surface down; let it sit for five minutes; we wipe thoroughly. In the kitchen throw them in the dishwasher.
