In order to take apart the iPod Nano you will need to separate the internal components from the plastic case or shell. You can do this by using a Phillips and flat head precision screwdriver set. Locate the small opening in the bottom of the Nano. Insert a flat head screwdriver and gently pry off the bottom cover. Remove the two screws that you can see with the Phillips head screwdriver.
