How Do You Take Apart An IBM G40 Laptop?
The first step to repairing or replacing laptop parts is knowing how to get to the parts in the first place. The key to taking apart an IBM G40 laptop successfully is learning the order in which the sections are connected to each other. By following this order, you can break down the laptop to the area that needs repair and easily put the laptop back together by simply reversing the procedure. Turn the laptop off. Unplug the computer from its AC power source. Unplug any cords and remove any peripheral hardware attached to the laptop. Remove the battery by turning the laptop upside down. Unlatch the battery by sliding the two switches outward at the same time. Pull the battery up and out of the bay. Remove the hard drive. Unscrew the hard drive safety screw using the Allen wrench.
