Imagine that you’ve just bought a new home. It needs a lot of work; and your sister-in-law and her family have come to help with painting and removing wallpaper. Your sister-in-law happens to look in your kitchen drawers and notices tiny black pellets in the drawers. She says, “I hate to tell you this, but…” Yes, they’re mouse droppings. Now you suddenly realize not only do you have a rodent problem, you have a rodent problem in your kitchen! Here’s how to tackle it. Determine where the rodents are living in your house. Bait traps with peanut butter and a small amount of birdseed. Set traps near the walls in areas where you think mice will be moving. Use a flashlight inside cabinets and around baseboards and determine how the mice are moving around in your house. Look to see if they’re traveling up pipes and how they’re getting from one part of your house to another.
