How Do You System Restore A Dell Laptop?

0

Dell laptops have a system restore feature built into the computer. Performing this system restore reverts the computer back to its initial factory settings. This is helpful if your hard drive has become overrun with viruses or malware, or if you just want a clean slate. Performing the system restore does not require any additional hardware and is done outside of the Windows operating system. Shut down the computer. Press the power button and hit “F8” as soon as the Dell logo appears on the screen. A boot options page will load. Choose “Repair Your Computer” and press “Enter.” A restore option window momentarily appears on the screen. Select “US” as your keyboard layout and click “Next.” Enter your user name and password if requested and click “OK.” Choose “Del Factory Image Restore.” Click “Next.” The Dell laptop computer restores to its original, factory settings.
