Synchronizing a Treo Smartphone using HotSync has huge benefits. Rather than having to reenter information on your computer or other devices, your Smartphone will copy the information for you during synchronization. This process ensures that you do not forget to cross reference your various devices. It’s also a great time saver! Here’s how to do it. Locate the HotSync button in the lower right-hand corner of your screen. Select the correct means of synchronization, be it Bluetooth wireless, Infrared connection or other type of connection. Go to the Applications section and select HotSync. Select Local. A pick list will appear under the HotSync icon. Select the appropriate application for your Smartphone and device your are synchronizing to. For example, IR (infrared) to PC/Handheld. If you are using an IR connection, you will need to position the IR port of your Smartphone a few inches from the IR port on your computer. Select the HotSync button on your Smartphone.
