iTunes not only manages all the music on your computer, but also the music you want to transfer to your mobile device. If you adjust your iPod sync settings regarding purchased music, iTunes will automatically update your purchases whenever you connect to your mobile device. Plug your iPod into your computer using a USB cord. Open iTunes if it did not open automatically when you plugged in your iPod. Locate your iPod in the iTunes source list on the left side of the window. Click on it to open iPod options. Click the “Music” tab at the top of the options window. Check the box marked “Sync Music.” Choose “Selected playlists, artists, and genres.” Check the box marked “Purchased” under “Playlists.” Click “Apply” in the lower right corner of the screen to save your settings.
