How Do You Sweeten Iced Tea With Sugar Syrup?
Iced tea is a summertime tradition. Part of this tradition involves sweetening tea with spoons of sugar which never quite dissolve, often forming a small mountain at the bottom of the glass. The problem is sugar does not dissolve easily into cold water. A better way is to sweeten iced tea with a simple sugar syrup. Bring 2 cups of water to boil in a small pan on the stove top. Add 1 cup of sugar. Stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature. Add the sugar syrup to your iced tea. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
