• Be creative! You don’t always have to eat the dish being served. Find other ways to make a meal. For instance, find bread, cheese and a panini maker-make a grilled-cheese sandwich. Take advantage of what IS being served-the cheese sandwich is particularly good when tomato soup is being served. • Be willing to eat a lot of salad. Find a good, low-fat dressing. • Find out when the freshest food is brought out; try your best to get there at those times. • Take advantage of it when fruit is available; load your tray with it and eat it all. • Avoid pop and soda whenever you can. • If you have done your best and still can’t handle the food, buy a mini-fridge for your room.
