How Do You Survive High School Musical Rehearsals?
The excitement of being cast in the school musical can be quickly dulled by the thought of all those long rehearsals on top of your already busy high school schedule. But others have survived and you will, too. There are a few keys to surviving all those high school musical rehearsals. Take time out. Find a way to give yourself at least a five-minute break between school and rehearsal. You need to take a few minutes of quiet time to yourself to recharge. Go somewhere quiet like the library or a practice room and just do nothing for five minutes. Bring a snack. No matter what you eat for lunch, your blood sugar will drop before the end of rehearsal and that’s when all the trouble starts. Bring a high-protein snack to eat just before rehearsal starts. A snack will renew your energy and keep you going until you can get home for dinner. Focus. You need to clear your mind and focus on the rehearsal.
