How Do You Style Hair With Flat Twists?
Flat twists are a good hairstyle if you are willing to sleep with a stocking cap, because it will last for several days. It works best on natural African-American hair. Here are some steps for styling your hair with flat twists. Wash and detangle your hair. Divide your hair with a rat-tail comb so there is one long, thin row in the center of your head from the forehead to the nape of your neck. Grab the hair in this row and divide it in two even sections. Place the left section over the right and pull slightly to keep the twist close to your head. Repeat, always placing the left section over the right. Pick up additional strands of hair as you go so you will always have enough hair to twist. Keep the sections even. Secure the end with a hair band. Take care to use one that won’t cause your hair to break. Make additional twists by reparting the hair parallel to the first row. On the sides of your head the twists will curve.
