How Do You Stuff A Sock Monkey Tail?
Sock monkeys are one of those toys that have been around seemingly forever, and almost every child wants one sooner or later. If you decide to make a sock monkey for your little one, most of the project will come very easily. One of the trickiest parts of the monkey creation is the tail. Filling that very thin space with even amounts of stuffing without splitting open the seams takes a trick, but the process will go quickly once you learn how to do it. Pin the pattern piece onto the sock and cut around the pattern to create the monkey’s tail. Fold the tail piece in half on the indicated line and pin the halves in place. This will prevent the pieces from shifting while sewing, and will help the tail to be straight after finishing. Place the pinned tail piece on the sewing machine and sew along the indicated seam line. Make sure to back stitch at the end of the seam that is at the base of the tail, for extra strength.
