How Do You Study For A Vocabulary Test?
It’s time to study for your next test. The teacher announces that it’s going to be a vocabulary test. No matter what the subject matter, there are a number of things you can do to prepare so you get a good grade. Once you’ve mastered this study skill, you should find it easier to take other tests as well. Write down chapters, pages and sections that you need to know. Ask the teacher what format the test is: matching, fill-in-the-blank, written definitions or other possibilities. Also, find out if you need to spell the vocabulary words correctly. Read the material that is going to be covered on the test. This is one step that you absolutely cannot skip. Watch for words that are highlighted, italicized or in bold type. These may very well be words the teacher has put on the test. Also, check the list of words at the end of the reading sections and the end of the chapters. List the words that may be on the test.
