How Do You String An Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Black Max Reel?
The Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Black Max is a medium-duty baitcasting reel designed for freshwater fishing. The spool can hold approximately 160 yards of 12-lb. monofilament fishing line, according to the manufacturer. Line capacity increases with smaller-test monofilament. Respooling the Black Max with new fishing line at the start of the season can mean fewer lost fish due to line breaks. New line is also less prone to snarls and snags. Disengage the spool-lock lever on the side of the reel to unlock the spool. Pull off the old line and discard. Insert the end of the new line through the black and chrome line-guide hole in the front of the reel. Pull the line through from the back of the line guide, pushing it under and around the spool.
