How Do You Straight Lace A Corset?
Corsets have been worn by women for many centuries. Although the style of corset has changed throughout the years, they have all been notorious for their tight laces. Most women, when wearing a corset, decide to lace it in the traditional criss-cross or spiral patterns. However, straight lacing is also an option. Whether you’re wearing a corset for a costume or just everyday wear, straight lacing it will give your corset an interesting touch. Insert the lace down into the top 2 eyelets of the corset. Pull each end of the lace so that they are even. Skip the second eyelet and pull the right lace up through the third eyelet on the right. Insert this same lace down into the third eyelet on the left (straight across). Skip the fourth eyelet on the left and bring the lace back up through the fifth eyelet on the left. Bring the lace over and down through the fifth eyelet on the right. Repeat the process in Step 2, skipping every other row of eyelets until you reach the bottom of the corset.
