How do you store used paint for reuse later?

The best thing you can do to make paint last is to put it in the smallest container it will fit in. Air in the can is what causes a partial can to form a skin. A smaller container means less air. Don’t store the can upside down. Having the skin on the top is better because you can peel it off. Latex paints won’t form a skin. Oil base paints will. If its latex paint keep it from freezing. Oil paints aren’t affected by freezing temperatures.
