If you are the sort of person who is mechanically inclined, a hobbyist, a mechanic, or even just a pack rat. Then you probably have collected quite an assortment of hardware, all of which unusable due to how unsorted it all is. Following this method you can eliminate clutter and maximize your ability to locate and utilize your hardware. Quickly rough sort your hardware. Wood screws, pop rivets, wire nuts, zip ties, tacks, washers, lock nuts etc. etc. Skim the piles for things that are really garbage or not useful, bent nails, broken bolts, rusted or otherwise not useful items. You may have found things like glue stick or air nailer nails, store them with the tool (if you even own the tool, if not throw them out you will never separate a roll of nails to use with your hammer). Of the remaining items start a plastic case, if you have numerous things like tacks and picture hanging hooks/hardware that is a good place to start. Begin placing the items into divided pockets.
