How Do You Store Leftover Ceramic Tiles?
There are many uses of ceramic tiles so I have always stored them in my garage for future projects. However, over time space would eventually run out around the house. So, my solution so far has been to store them in a nearby self storage after being wrapped nicely to maintain their quality. Access is convenient so I can easily reach out for my tiles should I have any projects in the future.
The use of ceramic tile dates back to ancient times. Ceramic tile has been found in the ruins of ancient Greece, which dates back to 4000 BC. Ceramic tile is made from a combination of elements, namely glass, clay and sand, which when combined with water create a waterproof and durable material. But ceramic tile does have its limitations and any leftover pieces should be safely stored away for quick replacement should an installed tile crack or break. Keep leftover tiles in their original packages. Most ceramic tile is pre-packaged in boxes that can be opened from one end. Only one box of ceramic tiles should be opened at a time. Any unused ceramic tile should be placed back in its designated box, which should then be sealed with masking tape. Store leftover tiles in an out-of-the-way place where they will not be disturbed.
