How Do You Store A Flatbed Tarp?
A flatbed tarp is a necessary piece of trucking equipment and caring for it properly is an important part of a driver’s job. Storing your flatbed tarp properly can increase the life and usage of your tarp, which means you’ll have less repairs and replacements to do in the future. Here is how to store your tarp so you get the longest life out of it. Look for dirt. If you store your tarp dirty, you not only reduce it’s life because of possible corrosion, but you also have a dirty tarp when you need to use it again. Use a biodegradable tarp soap so you don’t damage the water resistant material. Spray it on and leave it for a few minutes. Scrub your tarp lightly, again so you don’t damage your flatbed tarp. Rinse your tarp and let it dry completely. This is a very important step as you do not want to encourage mold growth. Mold will literally eat away at the fibers of your tarp and leave holes in it that are impossible to repair. Check your flatbed tarp for rips, tears and missing grommets
