Along with this belief in having a 3 month supply of food, we also strive to have a 3 month supply of emergency water for each member of the household. There are 5 people in my household, and we currently own and store 5, 55 gallon water drums for emergency use. Here are some easy steps to purify your emergency water storage. Buying the 55 gallon water drum is much much cheaper if you buy them used from a local soda or other food warehouse/ factory. I have bought these 55 gallon drums for as little as %7.50 a drum to no more than $12.00 a drum. If you buy them brand new, they will cost you over $60 a piece. The drums that I bought had previously contained soda, and in one, soy sauce. Since they were used, first I wanted to disinfect the inside of the drum. I did this by filling the water drum about 1/4- 1/3 full with water and then adding a 1/2 cup of bleach. After adding the bleach, roll the water drum back and forth,
