How Do You Stop Cherries Sinking In Homemade Cakes?

0

Cherries sinking to the bottom of all your baked goods can be a bit of a disappointment when you have taken so long making everything from scratch. Don’t let it get you down; it doesn’t have to be a problem anymore! Have your cherries distributed evenly in your cakes with this simple but effective method. Read on to learn the technique. Mix your cake from scratch leaving the addition of any fruit ingredients such as cherries until last. Pour flour into a dredger and sift twice. Add fruit ingredients that you’d like in your cake to the sifted flour and turn the fruit around making sure it is all well-coated with flour. Remove flour and shake off any excess flour that doesn’t want to stick to your fruit. Fold floured fruit into your prepared cake mixture carefully. Place cakes in the oven to bake. Remove cooked cakes from oven and allow them to cool on wire racks. Cut into cakes and look at the evenly distributed fruit and cherries. This method works every time.
